Large Mobile Veterinary Surgery

Our van based mobile vet surgeries are, without doubt, the most popular format for those setting up a new mobile veterinary business in the UK. In the USA, where mobile practices are much more widespread, larger mobiles are more prominent with their spacious interiors allowing for more equipment (and thus more services) and increasing the range of treatments that can be undertaken.

Although everyone of our mobile vet surgeries are, in the main bespoke builds, we do offer a standard layout for the large mobile veterinary surgery making it much simpler for our clients to develop and specify their own requirement.

Based on the ever popular Fiat Ducato Back to Back chassis cab and fitted with a low floor height Al-ko chassis extension the box body provides a floor space of approximately 5 metres by 2.5 metres. The drivers cab has three seats, is comfortable and well-appointed and this format of vehicle is very easy and comfortable to drive.

With access via the large door located to the nearside. There is plenty of room to move about within the vehicle, even with the cabinets and equipment in place, and there is an abundance of headroom, making this surgery feel much more like a normal room. Indeed so spacious that we can provide a diving wall to screen off the surgical area from the general treatment and preparation area.

The vehicle floor, walls and ceiling are insulated and lined with energy absorbing, chemical resistant linings, creating a safe, easy to clean and hygienic environment.

Base cabinets with worktop fit along both sides of the main reception area with wall mounted cupboards above. Within the worktop is a stainless steel sink with hot and cold mixer tap. The water storage, pump and heater are located underneath. Also located under the worktop is a recovery cage with clear Perspex doors.

The forward surgery compartment can contain adjustable height consulting table, with supporting equipment, such as anaesthetics, scavaging and even X ray, all wall mounted for ease of use with a standard examination lamp is positioned above the table.

There is a position for an oxygen concentrator plus cupboards and drawers. Vaccines and other temperature sensitive items can be stored in a free standing chill box which can, for convenience, be removed each evening. Alternatively there is sufficient space for a small fridge.

Services, in addition to hot and cold water, include ventilation fans and air conditioning for climate control.

Even external graphics can come as part of the mobile vet surgery package, which we can design for you, should you wish.
