What is Event Marketing?

“Event marketing is the experiential marketing of a brand, service, or product through memorable experiences or promotional events. It typically involves direct interaction with a brand’s representatives. It should not be confused with event management, which is a process of organizing, promoting, and conducting events. Trade shows are an example of event marketing.”  Wikipedia

Participating at an event or going it alone?

The traditional, and common, approach to event marketing is to identify organised events such as County Shows, trade shows, and specialised industry focused shows at which to book floor space for a stand. The benefit of attending these being that the event organisers take on much of the responsibility for creating and generating visitor attendance. Choose the right events and potential customers will hopefully be visiting.

The downside of this approach is that you are in competition with a host of other attendees, of whom a number may well be direct competitors. So, there is a risk of not being able to grab the limelight. In addition, the costs for attending these organised indoor and outdoor events can be staggeringly high.

Hence the approach increasingly adopted is one which is proving to be both successful and cost effective is to organise your own marketing event. Whilst this places more pressure on you to make the right decisions about where and when….and to take responsibility for attracting the right visitors the return on investment can be extremely high with such a sharp focus on attendees.

Reasons for making use of events.

It is unlikely that any two companies will be setting identical objectives for their event marketing activities since market positioning will vary. That said, the most common reason for companies to make use of events is to establish and build on their brand, although this is by no means the be-all and end all. Other objectives will certainly exist such as: new product launches, demonstrating products, sampling, tasting, upselling to existing clients, training, educating, lead generation, support PR activities, communicating and receiving feedback, market research and encourage brand loyalty.

For non-commercial organisations other factors will be at work such as fundraising, awareness campaigning, the provision of advice and assistance along with education and support.

Choosing the marketing event hardware

It is traditional at indoor shows for a participant to engage the services of a stand builder which is itself an expensive investment and especially so when it is for one-off use. An exhibition stand is, by its very nature, restricted to use within a building or marquee.

The alternative to a traditional exhibition stand is the increasingly popular use of a mobile unit and this is where we at Multi Vehicle Technology can help. Our product range includes exhibition trailers, exhibition vehicles and exhibition pods all of which can be tailor made fitted out and decorated to an individual’s requirements. The mobile option will not only increase the versatility and flexibility of event marketing activities but also make them extremely cost effective.

In summary we can help you take complete control of your own event marketing!

Event marketing with Multi Vehicle Technology

We specialise in the design and construction of trailers, vehicles, and pods all of which are for use at either indoor events, outdoor events and even more importantly provide you with the wherewithal to organise and operate your own roadshow activities. A mobile approach to event marketing increases the flexibility of where you can operate, be it attending organised events or on your own in shopping precincts, industrial estates, selected client’s premises such as distributors and wholesalers. This way you can differentiate yourself from all others enabling you to take your presentation to where your audience is located and no longer be dependent upon that audience coming to you.

Running your own roadshow vehicle is the most precise way to target your event marketing activities. Through direct engagement with your target audience, you can enable them to learn, touch, feel, taste (and even smell) a brand in person.

No matter where your roadshow goes, rest assured it will leave a lasting impact, moving, inspiring, and engaging people while fostering a sense of community and inclusiveness.
