Van fitting out often refers simply to either van lining, van racking or the installation of van accessories but at MVTech we offer a much broader range of services than just these basics. We are also different in that we specialise in the bespoke one off conversion, although we do have the capacity in our Leicester factory to manage fleet projects, which we undertake for a number of national fleet operators.

Van fitting out – lining services.

Our van lining services start with basic plywood linings which are ideal and all that is needed for working and load carrying vans and designed primarily to protect the vehicle bodywork from the movement of items that may be unsecured. To be fair whilst these help interiors to look more professional we cannot claim them to be overly decorative. But for their functional purpose they do not need to be!

This leads on to different vehicle uses requiring a variety of van linings. For example, when fitting out mobile veterinary surgeries and animal ambulances we use specialist hygienic wall cladding which we fully seal around all edges and joints to facilitate cleaning. Even though functional these materials are also attractive being available in a range of colours.

When van fitting out a campervan or day van, we need to consider different issues such as insulation and decorative appearance which is why we cover any plywood lining with carpeting specifically designed for vehicle interiors. This finishing material is ideal for creating the right ambience whilst also being perfect to cover the awkward corners within van interiors.

Van fitting out – Racking systems.

Any Google search will bring up a myriad of manufacturers offering a wide array of van racking systems. The vast majority are crash tested and therefore safe to install, with only a handful coming from less thoroughly tested sources. At MVTech we take great care when fitting out a van to first determine what the client needs from their racking. We then build a truly bespoke installation using either our carpentry or metal fabrication skills and experience or advice on the most suitable off the shelf brand for the job.

Van fitting out – additional seating.

If you require additional seating to create a crew cab or even a minibus from an existing van, we can help and do this for you. There are strict regulatory requirements and standards for this aspect of van fitting out and our experienced team can provide advice and installation to satisfy all safety standards. Our seating can be provided in a range of material finished from matching the manufacturers cab seating to superior decorative leather finishes.

Van fitting out – furniture.

Our workshop team includes carpentry and metal fabrication specialists with a wealth of experience in creating vehicle interiors enabling us to fit out an incredibly diverse range of vans from mobile libraries to incident response vehicles, promotional vehicles to health care units.

As such we can fit decorative flooring, partitions, cupboards, worktops, tables and so much more.

Van fitting out – services.

No summary of our van fitting out offering would be complete without a mention of our expertise in installing basic services such as electric supply, water systems, hydraulic systems, and gas. We design and fit welfare facilities which can include toilets, shower cubicles and catering facilities. These are particularly needed for welfare van conversions but also in demand for other types of vehicles we can build.

We are increasingly replacing the use of traditional built-in generators with roof mounted solar panels and battery packs.

Van fitting out – slide out extensions.

Not many appreciate that the extension pods associated with increasing floor space in exhibition chassis cab-based vehicles and trailers can be created within a van. Our skillset enables us to create slide out extensions constructed around existing side and rear doors to increase the internal floor space once off road. Our slide out extensions are particularly ideal for camper vans and exhibition/promotional use.
